I recently had the pleasure of creating a bespoke illustration for a client whom I'd worked for some years back. It was a gift for her Mum and husband to celebrate their wedding in the summer. Always lovely to work on these kind of projects knowing it will end up on someones wall (plus the added pressure that it was just before Christmas and the piece needs to be just right!) As it turned out they loved it, so thought I'd share the results. If you are looking for a personalized illustration (from A4 size upwards!) please do get in touch. I've also included a couple more recent bespoke illustrations too!

The Elephant Parade strikes again, this time in Bangkok!
Back in the Spring I submitted a design for another elephant for the Elephant Parade charity. I was delighted to find out that my design had been chosen. My first exhibition in Asia (as far as I know). As it's just so far away to transport an ele my design has been painted by a ghost artist over in Thailand. I think they have done a great job of it. Wish I could have painted it though! My exotic and magical design An Elephants Dream will be on show with the rest of the herd from the 1st December in Bangkok

Happy Autumn! | ||||||
Hello readers, hope you've had a good Summer! I've had a great time swimming in the sea and exploring the downs (as you can see by my new designs!) I'm taking part in events and commissions in all sorts of places at the moment. Interested? Read on…
The Big Hoot | ||||||
As you might know, I painted a space-themed design onto a giant owl sculpture in the name of charity. My design, "One Giant Hoot for Owl-kind", joined over 80 other giant birds across Birmingham this Summer and there's still time to see them if you're quick. The outdoor exhibition is on till the 27th September, when they will be packed up and auctioned off in aid of Birmingham Children's Hospital. If you can't see the owls in the flesh don't fear, check out The Big Hoot's Twitter for lots of pictures and their shop to buy owl merchandise. Twwoo! Venues across Birmingham

Lewes Exhibition | ||||||
I've got a small display of my artwork including originals, prints and cards in the windows of Lewes Framers, in the picturesque Sussex town. My work will be on show and sale from mid September until Bonfire Night. Lewes is one of my favourite bits of the local area and has a wonderful Victorian outdoor pool called Pells Pools. It's inspired me to create a new piece called "Lido Time", which will be on display (and is also available in my Etsy / NOTHS shops too!) Lewes Framers 2½ Mount Place Lewes BN7 1YH

Brighton Illustrations
I've been creating a number of illustrations this summer inspired my now home city of Brighton. Although the Pavilion is very famous it's still one of my favourites, but I've also been drawing the Fountains, Pells Pools in Lewes and the um seagulls. The 2 finished designs were also influenced by vintage travel posters.
Lido time is now available in my online Shops NOTHS and Etsy

Cross Stitch Patterns Work in Progress!
Some time ago my sister talented designer and crafter (Emma Scott ) suggested that my illustrations would make great cross stitch patterns. After several months of hard stitching and pattern designing we've now got several collaborative efforts in the form of Trees, Birds, Hot Dogs and Christmas all live to buy and download on my Etsy Shop.
Here are some more designs in progress. If anyone has any favourites do let me know and we can try to launch these first (or are there any of my designs you'd like to make?!) I think mine are the Alice in Wonderland characters and the Meows!

The Big Hoot is Open!
Back in May/ June time I was busily painting a space themed design onto a giant model of an owl for a charity exhibition in Birmingham. I'm pleased to announce my owl made the journey safely to Birmingham and is now on display alongside over 80 other owls. If you're in the city between now and 27th September you can enjoy a fun day out spotting all the owls on the trail (Mine is no.6)
My friend and fellow owl painter Kate Leonard took these photos at the launch. Thanks Kate!

More Owls!
A couple of months ago (before I began the Big Hoot Owl) I was busy painting a banner for my friends Open Mic all day event held at the end of May. It was for an all day event at the Northern Lights pub in Brighton and my brief was to paint a design that represented the night. I chose to create a camp fire design surrounded by musicians (and seagulls) with a friendly owl flying overhead. I created the piece on a piece of black fabric (quite thick!) with acrylics. Cleo is not impressed.

The Big Hoot Owl in progress
Earlier on this year I created a design for the Big Hoot (a charity art exhibition to be held this Summer in Birmingham). He or she is entitled One Giant Hoot for Owlkind to reflect the space theme of the design. Although I don't want to give away the whole piece now (and spoil the excitement!) here are a few shots of the owl developing over the last 3 or so weeks. To find out more visit www.thebighoot.co.uk
(This last photo isn't an owl, it's my cat Cleo "helping" with morale, by pretending to be a shrub.
